Daisy Heath

Head of Planning, National Theatre

Daisy Heath

"Daisy has flexibility of mind, nuance, a sure feel and an instinctive grasp of artistic issues. I am constantly on the look-out for people who have the ability to step up to the biggest jobs in the arts. I believe that Daisy has the potential and the track-record to reach the top."

As Head of Planning, Daisy is responsible to Nicholas Hytner and Nick Starr for the long-range planning of the National’s repertoire.  Excelling in this role at the heart of the company, she is able to facilitate organisational smooth-running, financial efficiency and crucially, to enable ideas and projects that would not otherwise have been possible.

Daisy’s experience embraces a range of organisational scale, from the Gate Theatre to the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as across art forms -from dance to theatre – and is coupled with an instinctive grasp of artistic issues that puts her in an excellent position for future success.

Developing exceptional leadership capacity early in her career, Daisy was entrusted with the administration and financial turnover of two dance companies at 36 Gazelles based at Artsadmin. Since then Daisy has continued to make bold, clever, well judged and courageous career decisions.  She has a great passion and commitment for the theatre, and an evidently deep-seated belief in its importance in society.
