Hermione is a journalist and new media entrepreneur with an impressive track record in establishing innovative businesses, promoting entrepreneurship and encouraging more women to become involved in technology.
Started in the second year of her journalism degree, Newspepper.com, her first venture, is a video production company with a difference; it employs students and graduate filmmakers and journalists thus providing them with much-needed vocational work experience.
Now a full time business, training 60 – 70 students and graduates, Newspepper.com provides experiences across all aspects of media. No other training body or video production company based in the UK utilises the Newspepper.com business model and in a short space of time the company has built up an impressive client base including the BBC, Channel 4, BT and a number of government departments. Her latest venture, Techfluff.tv is an internet based television channel, which reports on European Internet culture in a light-hearted irreverent manner.
Hermione has become a leading figure in new media and internet start ups in London and globally. She regularly produces content on a range of issues and appears on SKY News as an internet commentator.
