Meeting the Challenge: Awardees

 

Cohort 1


The first projects to receive support from Meeting the Challenge:

A grant of £74,447 has gone to New Music Plus…Producer’s Partnership, led by the PRS Foundation. Eight emerging music producers will work with venues such as the Southbank Centre, Tate Modern and the British Film Institute.

Parlour Culture (formally KELCAD), a partnership of four SMEs, C C Lab, Anna Doyle Projects and United Visual Artists led by London-based burlesque and cabaret agency, the Whoopee Club, received just under £60,000. This will help them to produce larger shows by forging relationships with producers and directors.

The Waverley Creative Alliance was awarded over £25,000 to develop West Surrey's cultural sector and strengthen regional governance. Leading the project is Farnham Maltings, a centre for regional artists that will run seminars, international visits and work placements for the other partners, including the local council.

A grant of over £61,000 was awarded to Step Change, a partnership between the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, the Young Vic and Battersea Arts Centre. This support will help will fast track career development in the performing arts.
