International Placements for Creative Entrepreneurs
A programme for individuals within the creative and cultural industries to; develop and strengthen skills in entrepreneurship; raise levels of confidence and understanding about working in the international arena; and increase appreciation of inter-cultural relations.
The programme is being delivered by the British Council and aims to raise awareness of the potential positive impact of international encounters on the British economy and future international collaboration.
At the heart of the Programme
The core of the programme is a three month placement within a successful and growing creative business in China, or India or Hong Kong. This must take place between January 2009 and April 2009. Support is provided by a manager and a mentor who will assist in developing and guiding leadership development goals and other learning goals. Each placement is tailor made with the overseas host business to ensure the placement meets the objectives of the entrepreneur as well as being a cross-cultural creative experience.
