Powerbrokers: Leadership Pathways

This summer sees the launch of Powerbrokers Leadership Pathways - a hub that offers professional development opportunities, placements and leadership initiatives for BAME mid-career professionals in the cultural and creative sectors.

The programme, which will run from July 2009 – October 2010, will have built-in flexibility making it possible for individuals to carve out and create a degree of tailored learning via a series of courses, peer-to-peer and networking groups that build and enhance skills, leadership qualities, confidence and networks.

Interconnecting people, spaces and places
Leadership Pathways will take place in London and at various regional locations. Some activities will also be available online, such as learning tools and social networking. One of the most important aspects of the programme will be the experiential learning and connectivity that a series of network groups will offer to a mix of mid-career and established cultural and creative leaders.

BuildStrengths Introductory Workshop
Leadership Pathways will begin with a one-day workshop focused on using the StrengthsFinder ® tool. The impact of this approach can be life-changing or life-affirming and the workshop will help individuals embark upon a reflective leadership journey. In addition the workshop will provide access to fresh analysis that can contribute to building individual learning plans.
